2026 CCRP Club Sponsorship Sign-up
The Clinton County Republican Party (CCRP) DOES NOT assess party participation fees/dues on the precinct delegates, as other county parties do in Michigan, but instead we offer Annual Club Sponsorship options as our major fundraising source. The funds received from these sponsorships and from our Annual Lincoln Day Dinner are used to defray our administrative and political expenditures throughout the year. As we look ahead to the 2026 and 2028 elections we need to focus on our priorities and plan ahead for the two upcoming election cycles and make sure we retain the conservative and fiscal leadership that have guided Clinton County in the past.
THE 2026 ELECTION PROSPECTS IN CLINTON COUNTY:
We currently have three Michigan House seats up for election in 2026, two of which are held by democrats that both represent all of southern Clinton County. The 75th and the 77th House districts are 60/40 democrat districts and both would be very difficult to flip in 2026. The 93rd House district is a 70/30 republican district that Representative Tim Kelly should easily win again in the 2026 election. Currently we haven’t had any declarations from possible candidates that might be running for the 75th and 77th House seats.
Clinton County currently has two Michigan State Senators serving in Lansing who will both become term limited after the 2026 general election. Both of the candidates should easily win reelection with Republican Senator Hauck having a 65/35 winning majority and Democrat Senator Sam Singh having a 58/42 winning majority in the 2022 general election.
THE IMPORTANCE OF THE 2028 ELECTIONS IN CLINTON COUNTY:
However, looking forward to the 2028 election, it is imperative that we plan ahead for the county wide elections and make sure we keep control of all of these elected positions from top-to-bottom.
The county commissioner races are where we need to exercise due diligence and make sure we retain control of the Board of Commissioners. With Commissioner Showers probable retirement after years of dedicated service to the residents of Clinton County we must fill that position with a conservative republican to keep a clear majority on the board.
THE 2026 CCRP FUNDRAISING DRIVE:
We will be holding our annual Lincoln Day Dinner again in May, followed by Summer and Fall events. As in previous years we will be offering three Club Sponsorship options listed below.
