BECOMING A PRECINCT DELEGATE

            Every two years at the even numbered year August Primary election all of the precinct delegates in Clinton County are elected in all of the voting precincts. These elected precinct delegates will serve a two year term and make up the voting delegates that will determine the leadership of the Clinton County Republican Party for the next two years. They can run to attend state conventions where the attendees will select the new state party leadership, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Supreme Court, State Board of Education, and University Board candidates every two years or they can vote for other precinct delegates at county conventions who will represent Clinton County at State Party Conventions. Additionally, precinct delegates serve as the life blood of the county party by donating their time to campaigning for candidates, finding and working with candidates, informing and working with voters, and attending monthly meetings.
